Community guidelines
Karen is for finding out what's happening around you and laughing with your neighborhood. Gossip yes, cruelty no.
Do
- Share what's happening: the concert, the line, the building drama, the party next door.
- Talk about situations and places, not about people by name.
- Fire up 🔥 what you like and put out 💧 what adds nothing.
Don't
- Personal info: full names, photos or videos where someone can be recognized, addresses, phone numbers, license plates, schools or workplaces.
- Harassment and bullying: mocking, humiliating, targeting or exposing a person.
- Threats, violence and hate: against anyone, for any reason (origin, religion, gender, orientation, disability…).
- Sexual content or nudity, and anything involving minors.
- Self-harm: if someone is in danger, call emergency services.
- Spam and scams: misleading ads, suspicious links or selling illegal things.
- Harmful lies: accusing someone of a crime without proof.
What happens when someone breaks the rules
- Anyone can report a chisme or a message. If several people report it, it's hidden while we review it.
- If it breaks the rules, we remove it and the author gets a notice.
- Repeat offenders get suspended, temporarily or for good.
- You can block anyone who bothers you: you stop seeing everything from them and they never know.
Anonymous doesn't mean untouchable
Nobody sees who you are. But if the law requires it, we may have to hand the technical information we keep to the authorities.
